Certification Courses
PACP™
NASSCO’s Pipeline Assessment Certification Program (PACP) has become the industry standard for the proper assessment of sewer systems. Using unique codes to identify conditions, PACP is a prerequisite for LACP™ and MACP™, NASSCO Certification programs for laterals and manholes, respectively.
NASSCO’s Instructor Training Certification Program (ITCP) prepares inspectors to properly assess the installation of trenchless technologies including cured-in-place pipe (CIPP) and manhole rehabilitation. The Program also covers other trenchless technologies used for effective pipe rehabilitation.

NASSCO’s Drain Cleaning Certification Program (scheduled for launch in early 2026), will complement BSDI to assist plumbers and small contractors to properly clean building sewers and drains. The online, self-paced course may also be bundled with BSDI for comprehensive inspection and cleaning knowledge.
This NASSCO Course is for professionals who do not code on a day-to-day basis but need a basic understanding of PACP for the development of effective asset management plans. The 2-module online Course on utilizing condition grades and assessing risk is self-paced and takes approximately four hours to complete.
NASSCO’s Grouting Unified Safe Operating Practices Program (USOPP)
This course is a critical step to ensure the safe handling of chemical grout used in the rehabilitation of underground infrastructure. Successful completion of NASSCO’s Grouting Unified Safe Operating Practices Program (USOPP) Exam demonstrates that a student has a basic understanding of knowledge to help protect employees and the environment from potential hazards associated with the use of chemical grouts. The student will read and understand the USOPP Specification developed by NASSCO’s Infiltration Control Grouting Committee (ICGC) prior to taking an Exam.
NASSCO’s Safe Use and Handling of Styrene-Based Resins in CIPP
This course is a critical step to ensure the safe handling of styrene used in the rehabilitation of underground infrastructure using the cured-in-place pipe (CIPP) process. Successful completion of NASSCO’s Safe Use and Handling of Styrene-Based Resins in CIPP Exam demonstrates that a student has a basic understanding of knowledge to help protect employees and the environment from potential hazards. The student will read and understand NASSCO’s Specification Guideline on the Safe Use and Handling of Styrene-Based Resins in CIPP prior to taking an Exam. Visit NASSCO.org/styrene-safety
